2020 Voting Information

Rhode Islanders have two options to vote for the upcoming September 8, 2020 Democratic primary. You may vote from the safety and convenience of your home in addition to in-person voting.

Vote By Mail

The deadline for a mail ballot application was Tuesday, August 18, 2020. Mail ballots have since been distributed by the State Board of Elections. 

Please read the instructions before marking your ballot. Your ballot must be returned in the self-addressed stamped envelope provided to you. Ballots must be received by 8:00pm on Tuesday, September 8, 2020. We recommend mailing no later than Tuesday, September 1, 2020 to ensure it is received in time.

You may also return completed ballots directly to City Hall during business hours or at the State Board of Elections located at 2000 Plainfield Pike, Cranston, RI.

Vote In Person

Polls are open Tuesday, September 8, 2020 from 7am to 8pm. Due to COVID-19, there are fewer voting locations and your location may be different than your usual polling location. Please confirm your polling location first!

Limited early voting is possible at City Hall during business hours (8:30am – 4:30pm) until election day.
